Orlando Weather & Why It Matters for Your Decision
Here in Orlando and throughout Central Florida, weather plays an important role in planning your maternity session especially for outdoor photoshoots.
A large portion of the year can bring unpredictable conditions, including heat, humidity, and occasional rain showers. Because of this, we always encourage clients to take seasonal timing into consideration when choosing between studio and outdoor maternity photography.
For clients scheduling during the warmer months, studio sessions often provide the most comfortable and stress-free experience. That said, outdoor maternity sessions can still be absolutely stunning year-round.
When planning a maternity session, it’s also helpful to keep in mind that maternity photos are ideally scheduled between 30–34 weeks. Because of this timing window, rescheduling due to weather may sometimes be more limited, so we always plan carefully to ensure the best possible experience within that timeframe.
Can You Do Both Studio + Outdoor?
Yes, some clients love the idea of combining both studio and outdoor maternity photography into one experience. Depending on scheduling and availability we can often accommodate this in a couple of different ways.
In some cases we will plan two separate sessions one in the studio and one outdoors to fully capture both styles. Alternatively we can extend your session time and include an outdoor portion after your studio portraits. An additional location fee will apply in this case.
If you’re unsure which direction to choose, we’re always happy to help guide you based on your vision, comfort, and timing.
